Have you ever wished you could just pack your bags, catch a plane, arrive at a beautiful destination, meet up with beautiful friends and spend a few days basking at beaches, bonfires and brunches with happy, healthy, healing conversations?
The kind of experiences that you just know you will remember forever.
You don’t have to dream Sis, you just have to go to a retreat.
Post covid, retreats for Millennials have been popping up everywhere and I’m so here for it.
While I have attended a few locally, I’ve promised myself to attend at least one within the Caribbean in 2023. So, do me a favour, if you know of any retreats that are focused on health and relaxation, let me know in the comments.
Here are three reasons I think every millennial should do a retreat this year.
Experiences matter
Look we ain’t getting any younger and I truly say that with love and excitement.
There is literally nothing to wait for anymore. We’re all grown up and this is about the time to give ourselves the things we’ve always been curious about.
Not to mention that irreplaceable feeling that comes when we answer to those things that tug on our soul!

You’re gonna have these retreat stories to share with yourself and your loved ones for many many years, so go ahead and get it Sis.
Learning new things.
From yoga poses to making yummy seaweed salads, I’ve learned so much from attending retreats.
Makes sense, because as it turns out we learn way faster when we are having fun.
Positive emotions increase our ability to retain information, stay motivated and link new information to previously known information.

So, if you geek out at learning new things as I do, retreats are the perfect place for us to learn and retain what we have learned.

Opportunities To Make New Friends
Making adult friendships are hard AF. So can you imagine making dozens of new connections in only a few days?

Attending a retreat is like a pre-filter for forming friendships because you already know you have shared interests with the people there.
Just imagine endless possibilities for potential brunch besties, coffee dates, networking, and travel buddies! What!

I love meeting new people, albeit talking to strangers has gotten me into trouble a few times, for the vast majority, it’s still a beautiful world out there, filled with good people wanting real, authentic connections with good people.
Girl! The world is waiting for you, do that retreat!
Here’s a list of known retreat hosts. Feel free to add the ones you know and or, give feedback on retreats you’ve attended.

Let me know who I should be adding to this list darlings.
Take good care and keep doing the most.
