Happy, Healthy, Whole: My Experience at the Fab Body Retreat

If there ever was a ‘magic pill’ for creating a fascinating life, I believe – it would be enjoying your holistic health.

I’m talking about deciding to fully pay attention to and enjoy caring for your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being.

In March, I had the opportunity to participate in a happy, healthy and wholesome experience with some fascinating women at the Fab Body Retreat that was held at Royalton Grenada.

This retreat was created by Dianna Robinson Health and Wellness Advocate, Health Consultant and Holistic Nutritionist from Washington DC, USA. 

It’s a joyful thing to see women who choose to live fully in their passion and purpose with grace.  Deanna’s work exemplified that.  The Fab Body Retreat is doing ‘God’s work’ lol by providing a space for women to enjoy the perfect combination of holistic wellness and fun.

The retreat was organised in collaboration with the Grenada Tourism Authority, Pure Grenada , and for a few blissful days, our island was home to a gathering of beautiful, empowered women from all across the globe. That collaboration was alignment at its best because honestly, Grenada is the perfect place to be happy, healthy and whole. 

At the retreat, I tried Zumba for the FIRST time yall!  Trust me, it won’t be my last.   Our Zumba instructor Bella’s energy was unrelenting and I loved every moment.   Her story of becoming a Zumba instructor as a single mom was as incredible as her dance moves. I also got to reconnect with my beautiful soul sister Sihnuu, who reminds me of everything sincere and adventurous.  We met about five years ago at a retreat hosted by Anansi Holistic. Sihnuu is a Yoga & Self-Actualization Guide, check out her work here.

I really love the idea of retreats. They give you time to disconnect from the mundane deep dive into reconnecting and discovering yourself while being witnessed and vulnerable with others.

  1. Absolute waste of time & money. Unqualified, unorganized, all she wants is your money. Workouts are for 5 year olds

I’m sorry you had that experience hun, I hope it doesn’t deter you from trying other retreats because community is so very important. When I attended, it was a beautiful evening, we did Zumba and some sharing, there were women from all over the world and it was welcoming.
